I heard an unsubstantiated rumor that DeVry is closing its doors for good at the end of 2019 and will do a teach-out in 2020. Seems Cogswell simply cannot manage its acquisition to keep it economically viable. Has anyone else heard this?

Having looked through all of the recent banter in this thread, does anyone have any real info that, if not directly verifiable, provides a relevant indicator consistent with other signs that might indicate a shutdown strategy is actually looming? Otherwise I’m inclined to believe this chain of posts is more rubbish. I’m as dubious as any of you about the viability of the business model and the long-term prospects here, and I would not be at all surprised by the eventual announcement of a teachout, but none of this recent commentary has been substantiated to the slightest degree.
Seems like @10aKwm0e-1nwx is posting fake news. https://recruiting2.ultipro.com/DEV1008DEUNI/JobBoard/c05627db-856b-4f77-8a92-448456fc3391/?q=&o=postedDateDesc&w=&wc=&we=&wpst=
All current open faculty positions are Visiting except for a handful of Assistant positions.
Glassdoor is full of fake reviews by employees who are "encouraged" by their managers to leave positive comments in order to bring up the company's rating. I don't believe any of the positive reviews at all.
This is all bogus. Devry is hiring full time faculty in engineering. Stop the nonsense.
This person is happy.

It is a typical business model to purchase a failing business at low or no cost, run at whatever profit is possible, then cannibalize for spare parts. In this case, Cogswell was paid to take DeVry. Has anyone brought the rumor to a supervisor for comment?
so Cogswell will recoup 1$ investment by selling Devry's computers, pcs and other paraphernalia?
I have heard this rumor is true too. They simply cannot cut enough costs to stay competitive.
@10aKwm0e, that's hard to believe. There's a lot of cost cutting they could do.
Seems like the biggest financial hit for DeVry is just around the corner. https://www.forgetstudentloandebt.com/student-loan-relief-programs/private-student-loan-relief/private-student-loan-debt-forgiveness-programs/devry-student-loan-forgiveness-and-refund-program/
