Can we expect more of the same, or will the time come to take things in a new direction? What do you think 2020 is going to be like for the employees? It’s definitely going to be hard to match 2019 as the worst year at this company.

Bye bye Stipend those people are gone by
Next year will be worse. Technology will have finally caught up and all Operational positions will be restructured or eliminated. This will however create more hours for the sales floor. The problem will be hiring people to fill those hours.

What is the basis for this $15/hr number that keeps getting thrown around? Surely the cost of living has to be factored in.(?) Where I come from, eliminating non-management staff making $15+/hr means there will be no CSAs. Either management is running the entire store on their own or entire stores will be closing.
In the eyes of corporate and the investors ...cutting staff and closing stores is the way to get to stock up ....that is their only objective
back in the day i would hear that mall stores did that. dont know if they still do but would assume so. theyd over-hire and then you would just be on call. you wanted hours you better stay available and ready for them to call you in.
Half the specialists and the rest of the non-management employees making over $15 an hour won't have to worry about it because they won't be employed with the company when 2020 roles around. The stores are going to be thin staffed with part timers expected to be ready to come to work at a moments notice or get few hours. It's a take off of just in time inventory and is going to be used to further leverage payroll.
theres a limit to how good things can get, but none to how bad.
2020 will be more store closings, more layoffs, more lies, corruption, and BS. Count on it!
OP, have you still not realized that what's happening isn't Lowe's only? No, 2020 won't be better, it will be much worse. And the reason is because the entire economy is falling apart, not because lowe's did something stupid.
Just spend some time on this site reading "Latest posts" for an eye opener. You will see this is going on across all sectors, all companies.
Cheer up things could be worse and probably will be.
