There will be csm reduction not elimination
Here on the east coast it takes effect Oct 5 2019. The CSM, DM, and ASM job eliminations, that is...
What is not true?
Not true! Stop tormenting these poor associates
The number of lead positions is based on volume.
@1wff - severance is in general a "courtesy" and not required for the most part. There are exceptions such as if the layoffs exceed the threshold for the WARN act; but other than those few exceptions it is not required. In this case since there are other positions available there is no reason for them to willfully offer it; and frankly considering the amount of long time DM's; it's a financially prudent decision. Doesn't mean it doesn't such for the DM's that will be displaced - it does - and I personally feel horrible for them. Unfortunately that means about as much as the ever popular "thoughts and prayers" stuff.
I just want to know when total store will go gwp. Management pretends they know nothing but they know and will not tell.
In my store there are 5 less team lead positions than there are DM's. They were told no severance would be offered as there are plenty of other positions they can take. Cap 1 and 2 are getting 300 hours added to accommodate the DM's and overnight associates being displaced. The store manager is making the decision as to who goes to cap 1 and who goes to cap 2. I thought when your position was eliminated, you get severance regardless. According to our store manager, there will be no severance.
