For those who have been given pre-notice before, how long until you got your package?

When a team was giving pre-notice last year they received their official notice in about 30 days.
"Hey Jim, this is a pre-notice, we're letting you go".
"So I'm fired?"
"Not yet, we're going to fire you on Friday. This is a pre-notice."
"Oh, thank goodness, I still have my job!"
Pre-notice. SMH.
Pre notices aren’t required but I’ve seen many managers use them to give their teams as much time as possible to look for other job options. It’s a good practice and glad to see it’s happening here
I think you guys are overthinking this. Pre notice is just another way of saying you’re getting let go before the official notice comes out. This is common in Corporate America.
No such thing as far as pre-notice that I'm aware of.
I got 60 day notice – 30-day working, 30-day non-working. Then you start severance package. Typically, you can apply for STAR assignments, which puts severance on pause with each assignment – up to 18 (24) mo. total, I think.
Benefits are included throughout that period, too.
In CA (maybe other states), you can't collect unemployment (EDD benefits) until AFTER severance ends. Wells Fargo pays severance through payroll periods over time instead of lump sum. They are probably hoping you can find job during severance period – thus, before you file unemployment insurance claim, which is a hit for WF and costs them $$$, etc.
Bad in that you can't double dip, but good because benefits typically continue longer.
Last November that happened in Des Moines. There is a post on this site about the pre-notice and what meant for that situation. (500 people got to re-interview may be for 100 position).
I guess the pre notice is a 60 day notice of termination and not immediate termination.
Not true. 39 people were specifically given “pre-notice” today with no additional timeline
There is no pre notice you either have a working 60 day notice or a non working 60 day notice
There was a team that was given pre-notice here in Des Moines at the end of last year. I know team members who were on that team.
