Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Is it me?

43,000 Bronco's and Escapes are at risk of developing cracks in their fuel injectors and the recall is a drain trough and a low pressure warning system? So, first you have to bring your vehicle in to have the non-fix applied to it, and then you get to bring it in again when the injector cracks? Better hope your vehicles roof doesn't develop a leak, because all Ford will most likely do is give you a raincoat.

It is no just a brain drain but a culture of management. Back when I first hired in back in the late 80s that Q1 Flag meant something. If there was a problem you had to answer to management on how what we needed to do to fix it.
Management back then played to win not go second fiddle to competition. Since the late 90s till now our management is more focused on cost items like TVM, MCR, MEGA etc. than Quality is J1.
I heard a VP Gray comment in a Townhall a few years back (2019 or 2020) about our F-Series starter Motor vs GM. Same size starter but our cost more than GM because of specifications.. Well It is because of those SPECS that F-Series was #1 selling vehicle. I hired into Truck Operations not Powertrain. Our VPS in Truck never would have said that. Sorry to vent but back then we were proud in truck. Now I can not even recommend any of our vehicles to friends or family. What a shame that is

Retired now and saw this coming with the brilliant smart redesign in 2018/2019. The knowledge and experience the company walked out the door will never be replaced. Our quality is awful. My most recent X-plan sponsored purchase didn't make it a month without two trips to the Lincoln dealer. Just embarrassing to have quality this bad. No more pins...

Current (recurrent) issue: cracking fuel injectors 1.5L engine

A few years ago, coolant leak, 1.5l 1.6l sigma engine from Europe

A couple years ago : blown crank seal at rear, oil leaks, 2.5L Mazda engine attached to hybrid in maverick. The 2.5L was\has been in production a loooooong time so this was a surprise

Is the problem with the 2.5L or 1.5L engine?

I remember the 1.5/1.6L coolant leak leading to engine fires several yrs ago, the fix was routing some path for the coolant to go away from the hot exhaust manifold and catalytic converter.

The. The 2.5L leak of some sort, catastrophic in nature, I think the fix was to remove the plastic shield (aerodynamic) from under the engine so the fluids can drop immediately and avoid further contact with hot engine components.

I do not know if permanent corrective action\fix Was implemented for either of these two. Can anyone jog our memories?

Anybody see the pattern?? Same mistakes are being repeated that were dealt with years ago. But Ford wants all the older experienced people out of the company to save pennies but issues like this are costing them millions because people that could avoid them have been brushed out the company. Math just don’t add up. Penny wise dollar foolish. Best and the brightest running the company. .

"In addition, if a fuel injector has a leak in the next 15 years or 150,00 miles from the warranty start date (whichever occurs first), Ford will replace the fuel injectors free of charge (parts and labor)."

Jeep, Toyota and I think even Honda had a similar issue years back. Can't catch a break.

Nothing beats the smell of gasoline on your garage floor that falls through the drain hole.

Who in their right mind would ever buy a Ford product?

I’m so disappointed with Ford.

So much brain drain in the last 5 years, no wonder we have all these problems.

And don’t tell me DF has a solution. People don’t want EVs.
