@zqq, How is that any different than what you normally do, sitting around taking up space?
why not make plans now assuming you will be laid off. you can always shelve them if you get selected! and dust them off again if needed
It could be done quicker, certainly, since the short lists are still in the 3-5 range just like a normal PDC. The vast majority of folks won't even be discussed; that's the true shame of this process. You just have to let it unfold and wait for the magic message from your selection rep.

Nothing is set in stone, it is stressful time no doubt about it. There is a lot behind the scene, do no panic and enjoy few weeks of no work and pay until the fate is known, then you know the outcome and can adjust your life accordingly.
