Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

How are they tracking us in WFH claims?

I know it is through Verint, does it monitor your clicks or if you are active on teams? I have heard people using mouse movers if they away from their desk and has that been successful?

Legit you can ask your manager how they track you and theyll show you, its not a big deal.

To be clear here, you can literally work like a snail and be fine in most cases, they only stress employees who CONSISTANTLY have issues. Also some people are not...smart...and only see metrics for that day, not the averaged out over a long period of time that everyone else cares about.

Honestly though if your manager is stressing you being active at work, you probably are not doing much at all, or are totally lacking the skill set for the role and need to find some way to get you out. Ive only heard of this occurring at entry level.

But yes, your actions on your work PC are all monitored in some manner. Everything.

DO NOT believe anyone who says they can't find out, or don't monitor that stuff. They 100% do - I've seen it with my own eyes. And pretty much all internal applications have access logs too (as a side note) - so can't escape there either.

There is technology deployed to most workstations that can monitor clicks and even do screen capture if you're under investigation. Mouse jigglers can be detected because they use a non-human-like moving pattern. As others have said, don't jeopardize your job, just please do the work (or if you don't want to, find a different opportunity).

It su-ks a lot of the time, but trying to "beat the system" is just gonna get you fired.

And the last thing you want is to be under investigation bc the company tries to be very thorough when firing for cause.

TLDR; assume that everything you do on ANY company owned device OR a company developed app is monitored at a very deep level.

To the d-mb b in property. You clearly know nothing of how injury works and you should keep your false opinion to yourself. If injury is so much easier. Feel free to come on over. We need it :) you have NO idea what you have to do over there. They handle liability, property damage, AND BI AND litigation files. So honestly su-k it. And deal with your 3pet liability screen.

From everyone who actually does their jobs and are tired of cleaning up messes from you lazy workers. Just do your effing job. Then you don't have to worry about it. It's simple. Injury CSs are drowning and all you wanna know is how you can get paid for not doing a thing.

Why so concerned about how you are being monitored from home? It is the same as when you are in the office for your week and how it was pre-COVID. Everything you do on your computer and phone has multiple reports attached to it if someone wants to see what you are up to. Just do your job, you get paid to work 7:45, why do so many people spend hours trying to avoid work every day?

Property CS, injury is required to use 3pet. Generally the injuries have to be modeled in 3pet.

OMG. They actually expect me to work when I WFH. That’s so unfair. How do I get around it?🙄 And we wonder why there are problems.

Pretty simple you will see a process called winlogbeat that captures what is installed and runs on your machine. Second a process called Tanium allows admins to pull files from your computer for deeper inspection. If your performance drops a manager can request infosec to take a look at what you are doing very easily also Turning off either is grounds for termination, so just do your job.

I get it, long term forum troll, "rable rabble how can you trust managers?!?!" easy to meme but lets be real here, this is legit right up asking your manager type topic. Why would a manager lie about a simple procedure topic? You make no sense as usual for all your repeat posting here.

If you cant trust your TM to explain how you are being tracked, legit go work somewhere else man. Youll still be here posting, because you dont work here. Its extremely obvious which responses are yours across the whole forum too. No one pays attention to your fake concern threads either, at least people who do work here.

It’s pretty simple… have a consistent work ethic, do your job to your best ability each day, be ethical in all your interactions actions, get paid every 2 weeks. REPEAT

ppl are getting fired that have been caught using a "mouse mover". In claims they can and do run reports on how many "tasks" you do. So you can't hide. If you don't like you job no one is making you stay. there are plenty of jobs out there move on.

“it’s like injury is the only place that has any standards for their handlers”

Yeah right… In Property a CS has to use garbage 3PET for everything if you’re going to establish liability in a claim, yet Express and Injury can just update that screen whenever they want. 3PET should be for Injury too, but I’m seeing all the time they don’t have to use it. That makes me angry honestly because Property gets a lot of cr-p from Express about “two moving vehicles” and we can’t just establish some obvious liability without the whole 9 yards of recorded statements and sh---y 3PET.

Ask your manager? First you have to trust them and out of all the managers I worked for, I trusted none of them.

You can literally ask your manager and they will tell you. Only the entry level positions need to worry about mouse jiggling ect, and even then, its likely only brought up with people who have "issues". At lot of people are clueless to why things are even brought up to them by management, and don't see that its something they are doing, and not just mean old managers and evil company ect.

To be fair, if people would just do the work they are paid to do, and stop playing games in an attempt to avoid like 3-4 extra calls a day, none of this stuff would be needed. Some adults will act like children if not supervised, and sometimes just telling them they are being watched is enough, other times you need to go further.

Again all of this is great conversation topics with your manager, if you do work here actually at least.

This is so weird to me, this is why claims ownership is needed in claims at all levels. In injury if you don’t work your inventory, you will drown. The shared environment allows for people to not be responsible for the work they do. I get claim after claim that has been open for weeks with no work done on them, it’s like injury is the only place that has any standards for their handlers.

@zan Exactly! Just work, it’s what you’re hired to do, and if you step away for a few minutes sometimes, it won’t be a problem. If you’re spending too much time not working, then it is a problem and you should be given the business about it.

They are able to detect mouse jigglers and several investigations have been occurring along with some releases. Would not recommend jeopardizing your job by using a mouse jiggler.
