Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Corebridge

Question for those who will be impacted in April. Will you still be an AIG employee at that time or an employee of Corebridge?

AIG plans to IPO Corebridge and then eventually completely separate by selling all of the shares in a year or two after that. It is the same thing that AXA did with Equitable, IPO in 2018 and completely sell in 2019

Does anyone think that at some point that AIG will sell Corebridge?

I believe at this point the worst they can do is retaining you in your current role until they come up with some other “brilliant idea”. Firing you would be a blessing

I've been "rebadged" to Accenture as of April 23. Another person in my dept will be laid off then and 3 people will be staying with Corebridge.

Go on Yammer and ask. They are talking about abortion on there...should not hurt to ask this question. What's the worst they can do? Fire you?
