Thread regarding ViacomCBS layoffs

Why does P+ IT keep acting like nothing is happening?

The keep scheduling meetings ant talking about PI Planning like it’s business as usual. Who in their right mind can focus on anything but job searching at this point? 6 weeks is a long time to wait. This was executed very poorly. Shame on the pep boys. Quite inhumane of them. Sheri stone you’re a see you next Tuesday.

@myd+1u0Z7kod Yes, I agree, no need to be mean. People are processing the situation, it's tough but not unusual. Are you saying the best performers were let go? If so, who has the best chance to find another job or maybe start own business? Best or worst performers? Thank you.

To the person with the cold comments here...you sound like my HR VP, a cold, heartless bi--h who does not care about people's well being. Hope you're enjoying yourself, karma always comes back around.

Imagine the electricity gone for a couple of weeks or months. It is real for some people right now. Do you think the referendum is going to help? No dislike button this time around.

To @yht+1u0Z7kod and all the negative nancy's. No one is saying P+ doesn't have the right to fire anyone they wish. The criticism is that they chose to keep ppl hanging for 6 weeks. Yes many of us are already looking for new jobs, but I fail to see how this (the so called waves of firing ppl) is beneficial to either the employees or P+. Would have much rather it'd be done in one shot, like ripping off a bandaid. I could care less if P+ fires me. It will probably be a good thing and I'm sure I will end up in a much better place. This place su-ks as far as management goes. Too much stupidity and cluelessness. @yht+1u0Z7kod, Learn how to read and comprehend, or at the very least learn to ask questions if you're not sure what a piece of written communication means.

Executed poorly? You identify people and you let them go. It's really not that hard.

To this poster: @xle+1u0Z7kod: "It is business as usual. Layoffs are a part of life and you are getting laid to do a job so do it. The way you have been posting I wouldn’t be surprised if you were not in a list."

Why are you so bitter? Why do you side with Paramount? Yes it's employment at will, we all knew that already. We're all adults here and many of us have been in the industry for quite a while for you to have such condescending and sermoning demeanor. Still it doesn't change how many of us feel at this moment. Are you just a troll who has not relationship whatsoever to P+? Or do you work for the pep boys or something? I think you're the one who should grow up for being so tone deaf and posting in such childish manner. Go get a life you pr1ck a$$hole.

The level of narcissism and entitlement in these threads is ridiculous.Yes, there is no Santa Claus. Read your contract. Was there a promise of eternal love and paycheck?

@xle+1u0Z7kod Why do you defend P+ so much? Are you an exec?

No, I agree with OP. This entire thing was executed very poorly. These people have no souls and zero thought was put in to the decisions they made.

Is that the last job in your life? No one owes you employment. Grow up and deal with it as everyone else.
