Speaking of Brilliance, few people were entrusted with the technology but everyone around them saw how hard they worked. 7 days a week of insane pressure for months and months without breaks. They lived like that for a year, maybe more. And what did employees get for all that sacrifice? Big, fat NOTHING.
It will only increase. Insecure managers will whip their people even harder
I have two peers resigned in just last two weeks. What a joke it has become. No respect for professionalism. Only a-s lickers get promoted and hold information. A-s licking is rewarded at every level from VP to managers .. everywhere. Sh-t everywhere in management team. My managers looks confused, overwhelmed and scared. Only handful in my team as left who are experienced so none of us bother to even listen to our manager as he is a-s li---r and looking for job himself in case HP is removed.
Brilliance failure reason was not communicated properly. Heard from my manager that we could not meet requirements in time and lost the bid to another competitor. This is pathetic and clearly illustrated GF issue and it’s management team. They keep failing in provide direction, failing to retain talent needed to win key projects and keep hiding info even from employees.
What the he-l happened to this place man. This leadership is eating the GF like anything. End is near.
Speaking of Brilliance, what an epic fail. Everyone was so uppity about anything that has to do with Brilliance lots, and it was supposed to be so important and so much money for the fab, and it turns out to be nothing more than a soft fa-t in the wind.

Depends on how low the order books get for OPS, but process engineering won’t have less work just because we’re making less wafers. NPI maybe, if we’re shuttering products like Brilliance.
When the layoff finally initiate, hiring companies will see a glut of GF applicants, better to apply now, be proactive, beat the rush.

How many have quit since the video, my team have lost 3 (quit) since the video, coincidence, perhaps.
If we look at GlobalFoundries history, it suggests that they will indeed lay off employees and not decrease the workload of those left. We’ll have to do the same if not more work now with less people.
