Head of Americas Sales did it again! Asset Owner Mess

Not entirely sure how we are still letting someone with a 4-5yr losing streak call the shots in Americas. In any normal organization, a halfway decent leader/HR would have fired her after all of the mess in the last couple of years just out of principle.

She demoted the guy who was handling Asset Owner business in Americas and then replaced him with someone who has over 25yrs of experience that had a very low tolerance for leadership vacuum. Shocking absolutely no one, he couldn't deal with it and walked out. Just to set the record straight he resigned and was not fired despite what she is trying to spin harder than any politician during campaign season. So much animosity toward men

Funny how all these strategic adjustments only happen to the men on her team. We have yet to see a woman in her circle get sidelined like this. Between JB and CFO; the favoritism isn't just noticeable but it's practically a PowerPoint in repeats.

HR is a joke here but curious where that organization effectiveness team is these days...

While any/all honesty is appreciated - that line, coming from a person who royally messed up a working sales org to create fragmented teams, is a load of baloney,

Any leader worth their salt would question if that line motivates and empowers action. They would also hesitate to say that after taking massive pay increases for their own dismal performance. If anyone should be fired, it should start with her and her cronies.

Is this serious??? As the CFO kindly reminded us on a sales call: “ if we don’t hit the numbers then expects cuts by sept”

Under JB and Helen’s stellar leadership only two things are happening: zero Growth and nonstop cuts!

As far as comp? Way below market bench but hey, at least we are constantly underpaid and if you are hoping this year will be better then the last BS year, dont hold you breath. As the CFO kindly reminded us on a sales call: “ if we don’t hit the numbers then expects cuts by sept” - truly motivational staff. Thanks for the pep talk - bring weather channel and free stickers back!

Then there is our ever inspiring head of Americas sales, a visionary who cares less about consultants and anyone she did not personally pluck from the talent tree. She is busy cleaning the house and hang with CFO, targeting legacy folks like Asset Owner sh-tshow, all while we are bracing for changes. Great timing!

Honestly being head of Snacks in this region might be a better gig than navigating the circus we have got going on here. At least snacks don’t fight back.

Employees should instead focus on FactSet’s corporate governance. Starting in December, 2025, each FactSet board member will be elected each year, as opposed to a “classified” structure in which only three board members are up for election each year. This is a critically important change, which was put in place in 2023 for the 2025 election, and it makes the company much more vulnerable. This is public information and is being closely watched by many activist firms. One, or several, of these firms will buy five percent of FactSet’s stock, which will cost about $1 billion, and force the issue in December.

Accounting and tax glitches hidden for years, leaders that frequent strip clubs in the name of client entertainment, sales off sites overdoing alcohol in the name of team building, people using T&E for ski trips, boys club demolished to create a much worse women’s club that thrives on cronies - shareholders must see where the company stands in terms of it’s ethical and professional conduct.

This gets worse, threats and intimidation in 1-1s with the CFO/ Americas Leaders across divisions. Are they being let go despite poor performance? No. Who is targeted? The people demanding better. Those performing beyond the norm - being shown the door or given 1-2% increase at best.

Fie the so called ELT who has zero accountability to employees.

It’s not just this team in Americas. It is all of it - look at consulting, Business Development, IAM and more. All of them are frustrated. It’s not those teams and leaders but the head of this region. It takes one leader to take down the whole region… do not blame the employees and teams but search for the issue

If these people had a shred of dignity, they would take a look at their dismal performance and vow to do better in the least. Instead, all one gets is excuses..oh, it’s the macroeconomic environment, it’s the long sales cycles, lack of talent is the issue. Is that not the same for our peer companies who are performing better? At what point does Snow wake up from his star gazed stupor of Shan who massacred every single region with her stupid change initiatives?

Grossly incompetent people are safe because they su-k up to those above them. They epitomise stale mindsets and old attitudes that have led to the dismal state of FDS.

Organisational effectiveness is much like the rest of HR - absent, ineffective and biased. It was a role created for a person, one who has no background at all in HR.

As for CFO, Americas sales leadership - power hungry, corrupt without any sense of what aids the overall company. Just going off random instincts with no desire to improve or make better business calls.

Problem is not teams. Americas leadership is what caused it all. Someone new should run it
