Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Five days a month back in the office, then what?

After they get us back in the office for five days a month, will they continue to add days until we are back in the office everyday?
Will those in the hubs be angry that those who did not move to the hubs continue to work from home?
Will those is the hubs looks for jobs elsewhere that will allow work from home?
Will those who are able retire early rather than go back to the office plan on doing so?

If they are just giving you a laptop and nothing else you cannot efficiently do your job!
So you need to buy your own compatible equipment or go back to the office!

This is a once in a generation job market that totally favors the employee. If you are working in a role/job you dislike/hate it is totally your own choosing. Take advantage of the newfound opportunities or live with the status quo-your choice.

"going back in full time would be one of the d-mbest things sf could/would do."

did you forget what company we are talking about here? if it can happen it will happen eventually the question is when?

I think by the time the source Laptops for all and all the extra equipment we will be pushing September/October... very close to falls season aka flu season , i see a spike in cases coming

they may do a 180 or ignore and leave it up to the "individual" like what they are pushing for right now
do not think they care for you , you are on your own

@yep+1bvepa1z It’s going to be a drastic failure. Unless you are giving me a decent AMD processor and hopefully a graphics card, with some speedy ram and nvme I don’t believe I can do my job on a laptop.

We are almost spending 2-3 times as much on less superior technology. The pro desks are even getting dated.

It’d be cheaper to source parts and give opportunities to pc nerds like myself to build and maintain them.

I doubt they ever require us to go in full time. They would be making the tech investment if that was so.

LOCs are not going to the Hubs. Decision made. Not about job class or favoritism. Business decision that benefits SF.

Job class an legitimate gripe! LOC's need to go to HUB! They have been spoon fed too long and need to deal equally across the board. TM's in other states need to move to hubs as well as section managers, VP's etc. What's good for the goose is good for the gander!

Put in your retirement notice and force them to spend all the miscellaneous money they have to for your party.
