Hey folks...former Nike Marketig employee here...sorry to hear about the latest round of misery. Here's something to chew on....About 15 years ago I did an analysis of healthcare spending costs at a variety of companies....when employees hit 45 years old, the cost curve looks like a hockey stick. Companies shed older workers to save on insurance costs as well as salary.

It's the last bastion of acceptable discrimination left in this country.

I didn't consider the cost of health insurance. It makes sense now. I am out on the street and looking for insurance. Waiting for congress to do something about obamacare. No choices, skyrocketing premiums, limited coverage. Welcome to your new world and good luck. I'm heading into hurricane country hoping to qualify for disaster relief. I'm the one you see on TV driving towards Miami. See you on the beach!

It's not acceptable. It is illegal under both state and federal law. If you think you are the victim of discrimination contact the EEOC.
