Brah, the top 4 GF customers are already buying 5 and 7 nm technologies from other companies, while they get other chips, like Wifi units, and others from GF. How does one work at GF and not know this?

Then again, you aren’t like me, cashing in on that smart Wall St. money, hanging out with the inner circles of TC, getting tans, feasting on wagyu at 15 Church, and sipping on Courvoisier, watching the sunset on the Intrepid at the one year anniversary of “Nasdaq Listed.” Life is good!

They don't, but those chips are not made in a shiny $10B fab which costs more to run than what it sells.

Agreed. I have heard of a 4-5 different people who have now been laid off Globalfoundries MULTIPLE (2-3) times. It’s shocking. Like come on guys are you a glutton for punishment. Why would come back ! There is clearly no stability! There are so many better options out there. Honestly all options are better. Globalfoundries is the absolute bottom.

As a former employee of GF, I hope GF pulls out of its downward trend. I don’t want to see my old colleagues/friends continue to get boned. There are good hardworking people working at GF. My only advice to them is to find work elsewhere. There are better company cultures that exist. GF is a royal sh--e show. If you’re lucky you get laid off with nice severance package and take some money back from GF before you part ways.

True. But there is hope. We have a secret we-pon at GF. We have a group of failed and rejected from industry imbeciles as our senior leadership team. Hopefully they have all learned from their past mistakes and moving forward will make right decisions for the business..
Onward, forward, and oneGF team!

We may not have the nodes and yields. But hey we have 'differentiation' and 'diversity'. That oughta count for something.

Yes but eventually they will upgrade their own products/cars and move to next ‘newer’ older technology. Eventually they will reach 14 and move on from there.

This cycle will potentially get exasperated by increased technology advances in the emergence of EV best car systems

Don’t some technologies for cars, etc really not need more advanced chips ?
