Verizon is hiring a senior HR Specialist who have about 30 years of experience in Legal Matters on Laying Off People diplomatically.

This HR resource should be preferably female with singing ability and know the Song "Break It to me Gently".

She should possess a very Strong Inter-Personal fluent communication skill and the ability to change the mood of people who will be depressed after receiving their termination letter.

HR at VZ is no longer an HR. They allow senior leaders directors and above to do what they want. Toxic place. Don't ever work here, especially HQ.

This comment is not sarcastic - HR has to be the least helpful organization for the average employee.

  • Have a question about company processes for HR matters? "Oh, I'm not sure, here are some links that may be good".

  • Have a problem with glitches in the system? "Can't help you"

  • Have a problem with a manager? "It's your fault"

  • See a problem with ethics coming from higher ups? "It's a business decision. You must follow their direction".

And then don't get me started with the fact that it's the least gender diverse organization in the company. Any other area, they're all over us telling us we should try to correct things (particularly if it's more male). But in HR they don't practice what they preach. Why is that.
