gm contract employee layed off (flint preset)

upon waiting on full time benefits after urging employer, I was let off. Told me I wasn't needed anymore due to production.

That happens with salaried employees too.

They get rid of people who are older, more experienced, do the most work, with higher salaries, and keep cheap inexperienced employees, slackers, and brown nosers.

Most of the direct salary employees have gone through this as well over many years. It is shameful that they do this to people. Perhaps more shameful are the managers who do it to us that know all too well what it feels like.

That su-ks. I heard they play that yo-yo game with contract workers. Lay them off prior to reaching full benefits then possibly call back later for work and repeat the cycle. Hopefully you can find something else.
