Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

fire all stupid device team

I ran the T-Mobile test cases for one of the OEM, it still has CSFB test cases.

TC-6199: The DUT performs CSFB to UMTS/GSM and MO call is established. Note down the time taken for successful connection.

TMO leadership, please look into this asap.

TC-5046 SME: GURPREET SINGH, do you where to test this in LTE/5G coverage?

Purpose: To verify the device is able to reselect to LTE after CS call is terminated.
Equipment: LTE capable handset, Test location with LTE and UMTS/GSM coverage.

I do not care who is right or smart as far as knowledge base, all we need is a LTE location to test CSFB call or better pre-condition for this test case. or else we need MS or Abdul to look into this asap.

There wouldn't be as many issues if they didn't layoff or reassign the people doing the work. Then have ZERO plans providing support.

: @mlr+1jLgatzC You are really show your ignorance about the network.. For one, UMTS was recently shutdown which means (drumroll for you) GSM is the only CS layer left and needs this interoperability test. Secondly inbound roaming agreements are majority non-VOLTE. What that means for your small brain is that an international traveler even with LTE-5G device will still need CSFB-GSM. Now go away imbecile !!

@roj+1jLgatzC, can you share a test location for CSFB call ? I can think of volte call or GSM call. how do you test under production for CSFB call ?

You have zero clue how the network works. CSFB to GSM is still a thing until GSM is shutdown. Either you should be laid off because you're stupid, or your contract company needs to hire smarter people.

Not sure what your problem is, these are standardized use cases … and there is still a gsm network so interoperability needs to be checked.
