If your boss is asking raise in salary or more bonus what does one say in this climate?

They will most likely comment during the year end investor call. Look for words like “identified synergies” “existing redundancy” “return to normal operations” “winding down of integration related expense”
Honestly, I doubt it. There is a 2024 hiring freeze and they will not be backfilling. This is a way around 2024 layoffs in my opinion. Natural attrition will occur due to RTO and people will drop like flies after March bonuses... This is how Schwab will avoid layoffs.
