5 wks per year. So at 22 yrs that means 110 weeks or 2 years of severance. If your base salary is say $200 k / yrand your rewards are say $100 k/ yr that makes your total annual $300 k/yr. So are you saying that you received $600 k severance? I have never seen severance payouts that high. The best that I have seen are 3 wks per year worked based on your base salary. So in the above example you would have a payout of about $225 k. Is anyone else getting 5 wks?

Did you calculate the 5 weeks/yr on Base Salary or Total Rewards?
I've been told the severance should be based on Total Rewards (including RRSP, savings plan, health benefits and bonus). You should also get more weeks if you were management or are older, as it will take longer to find another similar job.
- If you were management there are fewer of those jobs available
- If you are older fewer companies will hire you

Make sure you get an idea what the lawyer will charge you before you commit to the lawyer. Lawyers charges will come right off the top of your severance. If its within a couple of thousand dollars either way I dont think i would bother with the lawyer.
Back calculate it. Divide severance total by salary subtract what you would get for bonus+savings+rrsp+2k for benefits
Hard to say how many months, as they did not show a break down.
Call a lawyer and find man! That’s my advice.
Mind sharing how many months : year the package was?
We need to move beyond the company set taboo of discussing these life altering details
