FY20 Goal Setting starts today — employee actions

How stupid, there is no reason to set goals. If you meet them, you get nothing. If you surpass them you get nothing, if you don't meet them you get nothing.

There is no reason to waste time setting goals, Jo M-son - EVP Human Resources doesn't have a clue

Just put in a list of realistic goals for the year:

  1. Try to not get WFR'd until I can find a better job.

  2. Accept the fact that I will get no raise or bonus.

  3. Provide mediocre service to customers using outdated tools and minimal staffing.

Because my manager has 40 people to manage, he is telling me,I have to define my goals about my job.

LOL

I don't have to assume the silly company decisions. It's not my problem my manager has 40 people to manage, it's not my problem that my manager doesn't know what I do for my account and my customer, it's not my problem that high level management is deciding a strategy no one can apply.

I told him, if he has nothing more interesting to discuss, I have some work to do for my customer .....

Most of DXC competitors moved away from this type of punitive management years ago. Instead, focus on contribution, discuss regularly and build some confidence.
