Ford Breaks Recall Record - Where’s Halliburton ?

https://fortune.com/2025/07/17/ford-most-recalls-single-year-record-bronco-sport-escape-fire-risk-2025/

Josh Halliburton was hired over three years ago specifically to address quality issues. His tenure has been a failure, which means he’s due for a promotion.

This place is crazy town. They basically set teams up for failure (i.e. can all the senior engineers) and then claim they don’t have the talent to do the work; which means we gotta outsource that part. They started with small parts and now it is the entire GD engine and drive train. Someone please tell me why Ford is even needed if they are only bolting together parts that were engineered and manufactured by someone else?

Oh that’s right we bet the entire company on Skunkworks LMAO

@k5 All that is left is Yes people who scratch each others backs. Farley isn’t going to fire KG or JB or CG (wasn’t he supposed to retire anyway?). Reason is he’s lined up all his yes men and otherwise he’s stuck promoting or finding another to do his bidding. Ted Cannis left and they just shoved all his work to AF because I’m guessing Farley can’t find the right stooge to do his bidding over in Pro.

We need a new CEO who will wipe all these people and their failures away.

Explain to me how the entire leadership team in Quality & PD are still employed? One would think that these people have failed every performance metric possible.

Funny I heard some id--t yesterday say Ford had practices in place. I laughed because they did at one time. Not anymore. Look at how much testing & sample size has been taken out of the DVP over the past 30 yrs. All in the name to save a buck.
I am not against progress or improving a process but first it has to be proven out. There was a time when Q1 meant something at Ford. It was taken serious. Now TVM has more priority the quality.
That is a culture thing. The people who enforced Q1 are long gone. Now the company is made up of people who are not held accountable. Recent examples New mustang and F150 Lightning. Why are those CNEs still employed? I recall the old MN12 Program that CNE was run out of the company. So that standard needs to be brought back. People at the top need to go. They lack Vision or a plan on how to repair the tarnished image at Ford.
