Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Reward those that contribute the most

That's how it should be, the company should reward those who contribute the most. But that’s not happening despite GM no longer being able to attract new talents, while talents that are currently working here are either leaving or are seriously considering quitting. Hard work here seems to be rewarded only with even more work?

Same topic decades in the making.

Everyone is expendable. The funny part, is seeing the managers and directors, being replaced along with the expendables. That makes for some funny stuff. Seen that a few times in my time at GM.

GM managers don't know who their best employees are. They just know who they like. Brown nosing pays off way better than hard work

I've seen this post 5 times now. What happened to you that makes you check this board long after you got fired from GM?

My experience at General Motors was that if you try hard then you will get punished. The experienced people gang up on you and slander you because they think you're making them look bad.

That talent line is pure bs. People will stay if they like their conditions, and will leave if they are young and do not like it. What the heck is Talent? Are all athletes so called Talented because they make 23 million dollars a year? Every 10 years there is a new bs line. Talent is do not let the door hit you in the a-s. Or in todays world, anyone can be replaced.
