Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Polaj

Just a paycheck… and someone said we should be happy enough with that… Take it, allow them to stick it to you and be ok with that or leave. That is how “leaders” want us to see SF.
And then they wonder why people leave so soon after training (some during training) and while others call in sick every week. Just a paycheck.

My mommy and daddy didn't pay my way through college. I worked around heavy equipment for a company who's owner worked his tail off and put his trust in the operators and work ethic of his people. His son graduated from San Diego State as a certified public accountant and said one time: I can train a monkey to operate the equipment! He told the workers the same: Be happy you have a paycheck. The company operated for 50 years prior to his leadership. 25 years ago the company closed its doors and are no longer in existence. Tell you something? The workers started making workers comp claims, OSHA came in and made them spend tons and tons of money, and 75% of the workforce retired. Sounds familiar? They refer to us as less than, id--ts, minions, and kids. They're the body of a car. The motor, the wheels, the brakes and the driveline is what makes the car run. Maybe someday they'll learn. I say it's coming soon.

@mai+1btlvN9V Quit you’re giving me PTSD of my old job telling someone their 3000 dollar rims doesn’t add value to their 4000 dollar car through a translator.

Id--t or just a troll, I agree with everything said. I don’t pursue raises or promotions I actually just want part of the pension at the bare minimal before I move on.

State Farm executives created a chess game and gave too much power to the people especially recently. You can see them taking this back week by week with forced over time, and back to the family office mentality.

They are losing people that only wants what’s best for themselves faster than they can create the China machine they want.

When I switched to geico and had a pleasant and easy experience I called it over a year ago they’d catch us before executives touch down on a plane. I actually told most of my friends how much I saved just being a good friend. Unfortunately 60 million dollar commercials, paying top dollar for advertising, and keeping the people frozen that provide customer experiences for their job is a disaster waiting to happen. I’m just happy I’m not banking on being around here when it happens.

Spending your 2 billion profit to buy out smaller companies is only simply adding numbers, Rome is still on fire. Especially with 20-30 minute hold times, and teams delisting their number site wide to catch up on work.

Mandatory overtime during the summer for of all jobs insurance claims? Winter is a no brainer, but if we are struggling while it’s nice, wait until he-l freezes over.

Not to mention that during the Boomers’ heyday, they were running the undisputed industry leader. You know, the same company and culture you are now pining for.

@1mnb+1btlvN9V You say 'the boomers believed in the lie', but some day you will be that 'boomer' or whatever stereotype that society will label older generations as people age. You will likely understand that we all are trying to managing living in an ever-changing world that is focused primarily on what future generations will want and not what works for older generations. That's how most companies stay relevant. Maybe then, you will look back at these times and realize that you are no different.

Never heard of satire. eh??? Just another illiterate troll hoping to make themselves feel better by denigrating others, simply because they hate themselves so much.

Seriously now, what kind of excitement, thrill or ??? do creatures such as you, get from insulting others? Why is it that virtually no posts here can go without someone denigrating them? I'm very curious about the psychology of that.

You just really have a hard time spelling don't you? First issues with weak, not can't spell "it". I guess with weak intellect does come certain thrills (like trolling) and challenges, such as spelling... It's i-T!

PS: I truly hope you realize how mo--nic and imbecilic you sound but I doubt it...

This is what happens to a company with leaders who are politically chosen and not for their ability to motivate and lead. This also happens to a company that is focused on production rather than the quality of the product or service produced. The boomers believed in the lie. The younger generation isn't as gullible and sees directly through the image to see reality. They will soon be at an impasse. The image group will soon have to be accountable.

They will soon learn the hard way the cost of human capital. Watch the market. American Airlines had to shut down over 300 flights because they couldn't find workers. The good ol boy club that did not reward the work ethic and promoted on the "wink and nod" AND "looking out for their interest" will cost them heavily. I think it's going to be: TOLD YA SO!
