Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Anyone else quiet quitting?

i.e. looking for other work while pretending to work?

Don't know how much longer I have here honestly

I am not quiet quitting. But I am definitely not giving Ford my full effort or skills. Ford gets enough to keep my unqualified DEI LL5 happy. The rest of my day I am working a side gig making nice money.

"Anyone else quiet quitting"

I know someone who has been quiet quitting since 2012. He ticks 1 of the 3 DEI boxes so I'm not sure how he made it this far, must have incriminating photos of someone.

Due to the toxic management atmosphere, i did. Luckily i sent out my resume and got offered a better position at a bigger company immediately. Not that it mattered but i gave an honest yet scathing review when I resigned online. Funny part is i got offered another position at Ford the same day and still get asked to come back.

@jzn+ They don't have the guts to fire people on the spot. They would have to send them home first so they can do it over webex.

I intervieed at Ford plenty and got rejected by them several times. Eventually i got job whilenin process for interview i I ghosted that interview
Sure it was discourteous on my part but knowing how Ford treats its employees, I'm now have zero regrets doing that

Managers will play tricks on people they don’t like. They will give them jobs outside of their education, expertise or experience-— and interest— and then label them “poor performers” when they don’t do well.

I was hired to be a PMA and ended up taking on engineering duties out of necessity and my background was in engineering. Never got any compensation for taking on said tasks. Just because an employee doesn’t want to take on more responsibilities than is in their job description without compensation doesn’t mean they are Quit Quitting. They are doing what they are hired and get paid to do.

Sounds like your time is limited based on your work ethic.

Please show some character and just quit instead of playing childish "quiet quitting" games. I certainly don't want to work with your type and I'm sure your colleagues don't either. You owe your team-mates better.

It’s a shame Ford can’t fire you in the spot, you are what’s wrong with this company.
