IT. 9/80 and WFH on Monday and on Friday. Very nice and can't complain!
95% of IT does
Work from home 4 days a week with 9/80 would be great. Then you could do a side gig on company time and the employer would not have a clue. When forced to be at the office you have to bring your personal laptop and run off of a hotspot to do the side gig.
It’s like employers expect you to be working for them exclusively while you are on their time clock.
@3ydi+1n2ebw5X many Csuite old professionals have been working from home and in other parts of the country since long before the pandemic. Please reevaluate your judgement on other professionals who know how and can do the same. Your assumption of what WFH is like needs to be greatly adjusted.
The attitude displayed by young professionals(if you can call them that) is disgusting. They are more concerned about WFH than interesting work and responsibility. Surely the industry can’t be that manpower poor that corporations have to hire these people with the misguided focus.
Imo i think the pay is decent granted I just graduated so maybe it gets slower as I progress. Hopefully the environment is good!
It would be better to get a salary, benefits, and bonus and not have to work at all.
@1tqa+1n2ebw5X sweet that sounds amazing cant wait for that!
Practically all departments have 9/80 and work from home on Monday and Friday (on the Friday they work).
@tbn+1n2ebw5X can I ask what departments allow the 9/80 + wfh?
Not sure everyone gets to do it, but it is called WLB (Work Life Balance). Started after Covid and we get the 9/80, plus WFH Monday and Friday. Just about everyone I work with is on that type schedule, but I know some are not. I can personally tell you it is a great benefit, and I appreciate the schedule and trust Oxy puts in their employees. It will prolong my career for sure and makes me work that much harder knowing I work for a company that allows such a benefit.
@hdo+1n2ebw5X I was just curious because I saw in this page people were saying 9/80 and WFH. Shoot sign me up too lmao
None bro.
