If the power was out and badging didn't work, you didn't get credit for coming into the office that day.
You should have gone home and worked there.
This is horrible especially for corporation that preaches safety first!!
I felt violated today when I didn't receive a text that the power was out at the VEC. Showed up and the turnstile gates let you in without swiping. People in my group sitting in darkness - too afraid to leave. No air conditioning.
Violating customer's data is another thing. Seems like the people preaching about safety only use the idea of safety to create arbitrary rules for control. Real safety doesn't seem to be a real concern. What if someone with bad intentions entered the office as the gates were open? And there was NO SECURITY PRESENT. Also saw some managers sitting in my area. Why didn't they send messages to their teams?
Something seems VERY VERY WRONG.
Seems like trust was violated
