Anyone know how PD is doing? Many laid off?

God this breaks my heart. I was let go in SRD with just short of 20 years. I was fine as I was
OK financially and since I had worked at other companies before Ford it was not my life. But 30 years! That’s the largest part of someone’s career and there are no words for how horrible that is. And people just short of 30 years, that messes with the rest of their lives. I hope there’s a special space in H-ll for leaders who make those kinds of decisions. Soulless doesn’t even begin to describe it.
I know of 4 in PD including me.. All 30yr folks.. The age matrix they send out showing the distribution was pretty broad.
Neighbor was let go today from PD 29 years 303 days service. He is devastated. Good guy, hard worker. I knew something was up as he was sitting on his deck drinking a beer at noon and that is not him at all.
One of my Design Supervisors was let go. Great guy, worked together on/off for 30 years.
Sorry don’t know what org. I had an old coworker who left to go to Ford a long time ago. He went to work on the Diesel engines for the 250’s I believe. Thought of him when I heard on the new today. Hoped he was ok.
I am aware of roughly 15 LL6's laid off in Engine. The knowledge walking out the door....

I have heard of a lot of LL6’s that were let go. Most of them close to or past 30 years, very knowledgeable and respected.
They are laying off errbody!

I have heard of at least three LL6s being terminated in PD since this morning.
