I remember the falcon ranchero…..
They put a pickup bed on the Explorer and called it a Sport Trac. It was a disaster. They tried charging more than the Ranger but customers liked the Ranger better.
If Ford were smart, they’d have built the Bronco on the F150 chassis.

The last thing Ford needs in its lineup is another pickup truck. If Ford's senior management team had half a brain among them, they'd roll out a small car or crossover priced to bring first-time buyers into the brand. The discontinuation of the Fiesta and Focus, and the rumored end to Escape production, leaves Ford in a weak position at the low end of the price spectrum.
Yeah, Jeep can't keep Gladiators on the lot! /s
