I know a lot is "hearsay" but I am curious if anyone has any insight or heard new information as of this past week?

We’ll know next week won’t we.
@1cuu+1oCjerhb What is your preferred choice of dr-gs
This is like Schroedinger's equation and quantum mechanics. The electron could be anywhere at 1st energy level away from the nucleus, or 1 trillion kilometers away. Our layoff date could be the week of Sept 18 (next week), or the end of the year, or maybe sometime next year. You won't know until you "open that box" and peer inside. It's all a probability. In fact, in some multiverse, the layoff has already happened. While in some, like ours, it has not. And in others, Schwab never existed. Food for thought. Think about it.
The 60 day notice period puts you at mid November to be off payroll, if it were to happen next week. Those with approved sabbaticals get an extra 4 weeks so that puts them off payroll by mid December. The org order of layoffs may be determined with how many approved sabbaticals exist. Those with fewer or zero could possibly go later in the year but not by much in order to be off payroll by mid December.
@rsh+1oCjerhb That makes sense. According to Dennis during a people leaders meeting STS layoffs will start in Q4 but end before the holiday seasons, so October is the best bet. Other organizations may start earlier or later.
Not sure why there is a debate between week of Sept 18 - 22 OR sometime in October. Seems more plausible that layoffs MAY start as soon as week of Sept 18-22 (depending on ORG and DEPT) Therefore, some 60 day notice periods start next week, others sometime in October but NO LATER than Oct 30.
Oct sounds like the most possible outcome. Good luck all.
According to a source, Several groups have been told to be ready but not given a date yet. We will know 24 hours before. It will also be spread across several weeks.
I'm 100% confident the layoffs will start and finish sometime between now and Dec 31st.
October mid.
It is also possible that different organizations have different layoff dates. Some start next week, others in October. Who knows.
Definitely October. That’s why they moved RTO date to January.
I really hope it's next week. Time to get this over with one way or another. If I'm gone I'm good with it. If I'm still here it'll be interesting to see who's left and what the orgs look like. If they cut in my area I sure don't want to be one of those left behind to do more than we already do,
my manager said there most likely won't be any layoffs after all
Next week.
