Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Prorated Bonus did come through.

I know similar discussions have been had recently, but since today is The Day, I wanted to go ahead and post a confirmation, that a direct deposit with prorated Success Bonus did come through today. So check your bank accounts, my fellow laid off ex-employees. You might have a surprise waiting for you in there.

Have to say. It was more than I expected or hoped for, so I'm not complaining.

Mine was also very high. I calculated my prorated amount. I know my exact salary, my award percent, and exactly how many days I worked. My net deposit was THOUSANDS higher then even the gross amount, before taxes. Something is effed up.

Only at AT&T can you get this big payment but have no way to see what it is because they don’t allow us lousy surplussed employees to look at our paystubs online. We have to use the 1980s technology of faxing to get a paystub. So glad I’m out of that sh-t hole of a company. Hope it crashes and burns to the ground!!!

To quality for bonus you have to be on payroll the last day of the performance year 12/31/23). The only exception is if you retire or surplus.

I have a feeling they miscalculated again like our severance pay. It seems really high. Thought?

Well, I thought it looked great, so I'm hoping it's not a mistake. I've gotten more in the past, and less too. Hard to tell.

I received a deposit today for my prorated bonus and for the extra tax taken out of my severance. Because we cannot see our paystubs from 2024 still I had to call and deal with HROnsestop to find out to gross amounts. I officially have received the last pay from ATT after being surplussed in November.

They appears to be rolling out the deposits over the course of today maybe even tomorrow since Friday is actually payday for a lot of people.

If you were here last year and you quit or laid off or whatever you will get your prorated bonus.

Here you go here's a qu----e version of how you can figure it out. If you get a prorated one then of course divide the final number by 12 multiply by the number of months you worked.

Yes the numbers are different for some people in regards to percentages and such this is just an example

Bonus: base pay x your levels multiplier x group %
Example; $50,000 x 0.09 (90%) = $4,500 x 1.22 (122%) = $5490
Your level multiplier and % may be different.

And don't forget they take income tax out of it normally at a higher rate which you can get some back at the end of the year. For full-time employees you're 401K match and all the other cr-p comes out too.

Anyone who is still waiting, you might want to call Payroll and check. They should be able to tell you if it's supposed to be deposited, sent via check... or you know... if you're getting one at all. I spoke with them this morning. Mine is in the mail.

Did you get 122% (prorata’d).? I’d heard that was the bonus payout and am not sure if it applies to those laid off. My amount would suggest not. But I have no paycheck to digest.

I am waiting to get the paystub…. Wondering if the payment today included the reimbursement of the amount that was “over-taxed” on my surplus check..,.

I voluntarily left the company in October for a great opportunity but unfortunately I guess I don’t get the 2023 annual bonus. Bummer

That's lame. I don't know the exact policy for this, but someone said in another thread that if you quit, or get fired, you don't get a Bonus. You only get it if you retire or get surplussed. I guess with this in mind, a tip for anyone looking to quit T... Wait to get your bonus for the prior year if you can before quitting.
