Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Power in numbers

  • OFFICIALLY RESCINDED *

I was told this week the 9-hour requirement has officially been rescinded and we’re required to be in person for 8 hours/day Monday-Thursday. I know several colleagues in the Alpharetta office went to HR as soon as the 9-hour requirement was shared with them last week (verbally, of course). Maybe everyone needs to flood HR with our complaints in general to see some action.

IBM tired the forced overtime (no extra pay) for salaried employees so they could bill the customer more. IBM found out via class action lawsuit they were wrong and had to pay up to everyone impacted that was part of the law suit.

If you go to hr you will be put on file for another negative point to be fired or not promoted. Just do 6 or 7 hours n leave.

Some manager thought a badge report looked bad, so they made their own policy to move up with the report metrics. Too many employees complained and the manager had to back down.

Pretty telling about how the unofficial policy at Fiserv is to make the report look good and everything else is an after thought.

I highly doubt the 9 hour work day was ever OFFICIAL to begin with. This doesn't pass the smell test.

HR is payed by employer, HR does not want to get fired so they will always protect their job and employer. Never ever discuss with them anything unless it is onboarding or offboarding. Refuse exit interview it can only hurt you. Anything you say on the exit interview will be added to your file and it could lead to not rehirable pile or bad reference pile.

If you end up with HR write some meeting notes and after meeting write them an email summarizing things what you agreed on (so you make some paper trail for suing if they don't hold their word) It could win your case if you end up suing the company.

Gotta admire the brilliance of management on this one - being in the office eight hours a day is now considered a victory.

Flood A. Marino’s email directly and see what kind of results that’ll get you,.. but as the previous poster mentioned “ HR only exists to protect the employer”.

You will learn over time that HR only exists to protect the employer. They don't care about minions/employees.
