Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Toxic HR

They all need to go at the lower level. The amount of toxic behavior and prevention they put on lower management to do their jobs is disgusting. Cattle masters herding the sheep management to obey. They do nothing when it comes to real employee HR tasks other than defend and deflect. Move forward my a-s. Move them out the door. Thanks in advance from every employee being abused at work with no actions.

@rdc+1qV3Xo6C I could’ve written that, but from your co-workers point of view.

I was relentlessly bullied by my supervisor, reported her to HR, and then faced retaliation for doing so, reported that as well and nothing was ever done to protect me, it was only used against me.

I left 3M a few months ago and I am finally starting to be mentally healthy again. It is fu---d up the amount of psychological abuse that is allowed to perpetuate with in this company, seemingly at all levels. I will need years of therapy to get over the abuse my supervisor and HR put me through

Lower level HR are just office peons. They do as they are told to do by higher ups. They just follow orders.

Understand that they don't enjoy what is going on at 3M, but they have very limited when it comes to taking any meaningful action.

HR is the s.h.i.t.t.i.e.s.h bunch in the company. They execute the layoffs procedures flawlessly, stating that it is "company direction".

I always laughed at the saying that Human Resources is neither Human nor a Resource but it’s true. I witnessed first hand the ineptness - except when it comes to laying people off. They follow the layoff playbook to a T almost with joy because it’s a situation where they just do as they’re told-they don’t have to think or deal with any issues-that’s already been taken care of for them. Pathetic

I witnessed a colleague being emotionally abused by our manager many times. Our manager has a history of abusive behavior and favoritism. My colleague submitted a complaint to HR and put my name down as a witness. HR never contacted me and the complaint was dismissed.

All levels of the HR org are compromised. ZD, MO, JR look out for themselves. Most competent HR individuals were laid off, left or jumped ship to Solventum. KC was terminated for ethics violation but damage was already done as they laid off all the talent that was a threat to them.

HR exists to protect the company, not to protect the employees.
