Last year we kicked off the Holidays by laying off on the second week of November. Will we celebrate our freedom the same week this year, or will they bring it closer to Thanksgiving?

This is how you know the site isn't just a bunch of bots. Getting angry at strangers trolling is top tier internet. Keep it up you beautiful mo--ns.
Fellas, fellas…….
@9zln+1pthbNXQ Womp Womp. lol he mad.
@8bve+1pthbNXQ, I've given it to your mom last night.
so uh....@1pgn+1pthbNXQ...about that paypal account and my thousand bucks?
It’s happening. If you were in the last AHM you should know that the company isn’t healthy. The split itself isn’t enough to keep operations going and support the roadmap. Layoffs in some site will eventually lead to more consolidation and closure of at least 1 more site.
WD executives have enough money. Getting a bit more doesn't excite them. Firing workers is what gives them joy. Layoffs will continue until they retire.
20% again
it was not this week
Is this even a surprise. We always do layoffs mid November just before thanksgiving. Everyone has been expecting layoff for the past 4 months so not a surprise at all.
If you're a manager, you should have received notification for the next round on the 16th. What a cruel organization to fire an employee so close to the holiday season!
There’s not going to be any layoffs. we are fine now that we sold the SanDisk campus. Stock is high too…not sure why everyone freaking out?
@2vqe+1pthbNXQ Bora Bora
From that Forbes article: "However the discussions fell apart on over a issues of control, leaderships, economics and politics. The indirect shareholders of Kioxia, SK Hynix Inc. also backed out of the transactions."
Looks like they put SK Hynix objections on the merger as if it's the main reason is just a facade as I guessed.
My worried is the flash spinoff is set up for failure so the investors would have an exit plan. After all, if they were right about the valuation, the independent HDD business would be valued at the current combined value, if not more.
I would say we hit >$50 by end of December.
@2cpz+1pthbNXQ time of yr for Pinnacle, so where's the destination this yr?
same leadership running the show and all are to expect a different result

What is the good news today? Why is our stock suddenly popping off again?
Any news on the executive November offsite? I heard last years was an absolute blast. No reason to cut back just because revinue, profit, units shipped, and head counts are down. So much to celebrate.
Not a bot, just an employee who wants an invite.
In transcript they mentioned OPEX will reduce by 20mil-40mil, there should be a layoff coming but not the major type i think, not sure abt Nov 15 but everyone seems to be talking about that date a lot !
I am not sure why people are predicting doomsday scenarios while business is improving. Say thank you to god that there is no upcoming layoff. Prepare for interviews and then move on.
we know a business plan and budget with financial metrics will be drafted, a split will map to that plan While business is improving, does that restore suspended benefits or bonuses, or will that take further cost trimming In time we’ll know
@1sfd+1pthbNXQ, you shouldn't just believe everything you read online either way, layoffs or no layoffs. Those who said there'll be layoffs next week or this month didn't provide more details that back it up.
I said there'll be no layoffs soon. Not until after the split done at least. This is based on the fact that business is picking up and they will need to figure out how the company looks like after the split. If they need to layoffs then, then they will. It's pointless to do it now.
@1jdc+1pthbNXQ,
Sure. This is my account number: Y0URM0MKI55MY455.
What's yours?
I feel like most of these comments and posts are bots from seagate to create fear. Company been relatively stable since DG took over. I don’t think any layoffs happening.
@rcd+1pthbNXQ …you want to post your PayPal/venmo/zelle now and put your money where you mouth is?
2022 65 K employees
2023 53K
Let's get a round number by Xmas. like 50K
Why people so confident no layoff?
@1rnx+1pthbNXQ, did you?
Anyone got 1:1 invite tonight?
No layoffs guys...Just chill, chill, just chill!!!
I would bet anyone 1 grand there'll be NO layoffs soon. Maybe next year. Those who said there'll be layoffs next week is a lying s-b.
Next Wednesday
Layoffs are in January
If the sixty day notice is given, then the WARN Act won’t be published now.
It's not on the WARN report yet, so either there'll be no layoffs or the layoffs will be outside California
No layoff planned as the information from several AHM
It’s highly likely that the date is Nov 15, next Wednesday. Keep in mind that this may very well be a rumor but the following week in the Thanksgiving holiday week that typically has people out on PTO. Also note that the layoff last year in November also lines up with next week.
Closer to Christmas !
