I am currently a contractor in a legal state. Will be relocating to non-legal state. No problem passing if its for sure they do, but hearing different things. Is there a official position on this? Contract company says they don’t test since covid, I hear they do from others who converted. But also heard Schwab stopped testing for weed a few months ago due to legal checkerboard, but nothing official. Just wondering if anyone else knows. Thanks

When I was hired, I was tested for JIRA. Came back as an Epic. This Story is real.
I had an HR person tell me they do not do random dr-g testing and they hadn't heard of a single instance in 15+ years. New hires are the only ones ever tested; in the past they have waived dr-g testing if it is inconvenient for them, but before COVID it was always done from what I understand.
If you have a prescription/medical card you can say it's a medical need and they will waive it. They don't care as long as it's after hours and you're not under the influence while doing your job.
i had to take a UA screening at a quest diagnostics before being hired.
that being said i don't know if they're screening specifically for mari--ana.
to the person who said they test for lsd, you don't know what you're talking about.
At least I can see Remedy. No authority to most Jira epics, novels, whatever. Maybe I'm just too high.

I know one guy who smoked weed right before the test and they told him they don't test. This is a legal state though.
I was not dr-g tested as apart of my application or on boarding process.
Worked for another big name broker previously and was also not dr-g tested during the application or on boarding process as well.
Schwab is not a medical or testing facility, so no. Schwab does not test for dr-gs.
Tests do not screen for weed, which is approved for medicinal purposes, in some states. Does screen for the laced stuff. LSD. Co----e. That's the good stuff that lets you "see music". Let me put it another way. If you can see the music, you ain't gonna pass the test.
Pre-employment ur--e test, 4 panel. Does not include weed. Have not heard of randoms. Thats all I got.
I've been at Schwab 13 years, both in Denver and TX. Never been dr-g tested.
