2026 predictions-

  1. There will not be mass layoffs and likely no small layoffs to not trigger WARN. Layoffs mean severance.

  2. Firing culture will come into play. No more “coaching up.” You can’t do the job, you’re out. They’ll find ways to fire you. No package to help transition out.

  3. Terrible culture will cause people to quit. RTO, expense reductions (ie no travel, team offsite, or even pizza parties), if you see something/ say something to eat out your coworkers. It will be all about pointing the finger first to not have it pointed at you.

  4. Benefits get cut- higher insurance rates, less PTO, with all of TDA becoming sabbatical eligible, they will use that to finally end the program- too many at once.

  5. More restrictions internally based off “regulations”- scare tactic to force conformity and drive away good people.

Happy New Year!

Most EB-1 green card scams are committed by scammers who go to Canada, India, or Europe and then return after about one year and two days. After returning, they file EB-1C applications. This practice needs to be stopped. The team is currently filled with people involved in these kinds of activities.

USE GCC of Hyderabad to send all h1b/e1/2/3 scammers to work from India. which ever teams related tools and the teams aligned with them.

The Austin closure rumor again? Enough, Austin isn’t closing.

I would like to propose reducing tools and the teams aligned with them. These teams are filled with H-1B and EB-1 visa misuse, and the situation needs to be addressed.

I suggest cutting all visa-based roles and transitioning the remaining work entirely to the GCC in Hyderabad.

@tc They're not gonna show you the door the day they make the announcement. It'll be at least a year or possibly 2 or more before they eliminate your position. That's plenty of time to find a new job.

I was just told by my boss that they will be announcing the Austin closing early in the new year. She said some people will have the opportunity to transfer to Westlake but that I was unlikely to be one of them and that would probably only be offered to director level and above and only to a handful of people. Gee, Merry Christmas!

@qy It’s a good package if you’ve been here a while. And anyone interested likes a large package.

Continuing quarterly layoffs. Official policy and well publicized. The number laid off is not disclosed, but is i200 to 800 people. Always below the WARN threshold.

A large layoff like 2023? A plan was being developed. Execution isn’t committed, but odds are good if there’s an external excuse for the Street.

I’d bet my severance package that we will see people laid off next year.
