Thread regarding BD (Becton Dickinson & Co.) layoffs

Pharm Systems - any major events?

Have heard about a major shake-up underway. Seems that Pharm Systems is deep in restructuring mode, and it's not just quiet layoffs. Multiple high-level VPs and Directors have jumped ship in recent weeks [and still ongoing] leaving teams in disarray.

If you're impacted, share some news!

I guess BD is preparing to sell PS, it might actually be good for PS that they will get rid of BS ( leadership)

I work at ZebraSci now within Pharm Systems but maybe not much longer. It's a sh-tshow here, our site leader is gone and the management director always takes long vacations and doesn't get anything that we do. No growth opportunities. Toxic culture. I'm getting offers from pharma and will be bouncing soon. This place and BD is going to crumble into the ground

@1vc yeah it was. BD destroyed everything that was good about Bard. We were soaring until BD came into the picture. Destroyed out culture. Destroyed our awesome benefits. Destroyed our momentum. Wish BD never acquired Bard.

@b0 Pharm Systems is riddled with "we're so special" attitudes - been that way forever.

@1dt

Another place is Coty, all cr@ps from Coty got leadership roles in BD.

The entire BD company including Pharm System is dominated by political games, with leadership constantly pushing their own agendas and focused more on playing the system than doing real work. Pharma hires people from BD left and right, including management and engineers. Our company has half of the team coming from ZebraSci, a place that’s probably stagnating with growth like the rest of the organization. It's sad to watch. Who's left to let go?

@189 John Weiland (Bard COO) said during the merger, the difference between Bard and BD is, Bard is suit and tie and BD is jeans and sneakers.

@qw 100% agree. BD has destroyed what was once a great company to work for. Bard took care of their employees with Cadillac health insurance and a great pension. All BD does is look at what they can take away from employees to pad their pockets.

@qw
BD needs new leadership at the top—the CEO, CIO, and CFO all need to be replaced. After that, the new executives should be given full authority to clean house and let go of any underperforming VPs and their ineffective teams.

Once these blockers are removed, I would expect the company to be efficient again. Unless that is happening, there is no hope.

@ky here's hoping they brakeoff the 3 Bard divisions and sell them to a company with common sense

Tom, you are not supposed to downvote here. 😛 What was so bad in this comment to downvote?

looks like it will have the same fate as LS. Leadership is trying to break the company in small parts and then sell it to others.
