Does anyone know how many people retired November 30, 2022? I have heard people say 1,200, 1,500 all the way up to 2,000. When I turned in my management lease car I asked how many vehicles they expected to be turned in. They said they were expecting around 2,000 vehicles to be turned in this week.

From Underbody Systems Div, 5% are gone. Roughly 30 people retired
About 1700 including Sept and Oct.
I heard 7k directly from a chief and LL4 who were shocked at the lie of 1000 being perpetrated by upper management. I'm not ashamed of myself for reporting what I was told personally. Believe or not if you choose. This website is for sharing information from all sources. If they are not telling the truth it's on them, but I have no reason to doubt their integrity, unlike the other "leaders" of our company. Just wait for all the contract hiring of the recently retired workers to fill all those empty positions.
Not even close to 6k-7k retired on Nov. 30th. You last two posters should be ashamed of yourselves for lying and trying to make everyone feel safe.
The truth is a little over 1000 took the lump sum in Nov. 30th. Anyone that tells you otherwise is lying.
The expectation was that around 3000 would take it. Those of us still here better have a backup plan because our time is limited at Ford employees.
An exiting LL4 let it be known that more layoffs are coming. And it will be brutal.
I've heard company wide it was 6,000 employees roughly.
7000
Many retirees that were LL5s had more than 2 vehicles to turn in.
I was SIRP'd in August. I had 2. Turned them in Aug. 30th. Bought Japanese cars to replace them. Sc--w Ford. Sc--w American OEMs.
Don't forget that many lessees had 2 vehicles to turn in.
We, as One Ford, must stop this grotesque treatment of the GSR at the hands of management.
I retired last December before the terminations and mandatory vax started.
I immediately sold my 2 (newer) Ford vehicles and purchased 2 GM products.
Ford says we are all family? Only words. Ford treats employees like garbage in my opinion.
Willl never support them again
One problem for those who remain is that the toxic environment is getting more toxic. Some supervisors are not supporting their over-worked direct reports. For example, taking the word of outsider department members, over the word of your own direct reports (not giving initial benefit of the doubt to your own people, without evidence to the contrary). This degrades section morale immensely because the section supervisor should be a fair arbiter between the section and the other sections/departments in the Ford enterprise. The supervisor should stand WITH their section (unless presented with evidence to the contrary). The corrosive poison of lack of support of a people leader's own direct reports needs to be called out when it is visible. Silence is complicity in this matter.
An insane amount of talent retired knowing they were the next targets of Farley's house cleaning and cost reduction ( thanks Boston Consulting ! ) More layoffs coming IMO end of Q1 '23, as well as plenty of PEPs. Ford Next has a huge target on it. Look at org charts, easy to figure out as people are shuffled around. Way too many design organizations that do not produce, Farley has them on his cut list also. Going to be a rough 2023!

There was no ‘retirement package’ for retiring November 30. No ‘ taking retirement package’ happened this past Wednesday Nov 30. The best you could say is ‘Nov 30 retirees averted a 23% cut in lump sum’.
People saw the writing on the wall and retired. Took lump sum or annuity, whichever they preferred. No voluntary incentive. No involuntary severance . No extension of paid health benefits.
The next layoff candidates should be easy to identify - those with over 30 years that were fool enough to stay.
Expected over 3000. Only ~1000 actually did.
If you are still at Ford get ready, cause another big layoff is coming!
I have not heard an official total. it was over 1000 and under 5000. Higher numbers in Ford Blue.
I'm one of them! Took the lumpsum of 1.25M and ran. I'm moving to Florida in a couple of weeks! Plan to play golf under the sunny warm skies! Can't wait. I will not be looking back! Good Luck to all of you that are left! Wishing you the best!
They called my friend who retired a quitter.. He was the most dedicated employee ever. They did no counter or offer anything.
Truby said 1000 yesterday.
From the small sample of people in our organization, there are NOT that many people taking the retirement package.
I heard rumors that they expected 3000 eligible employees to take the retirements. Most likely, not enough people taking the retirement package.
