I don't think it's an age target so much as a pension target. The wording in the documents is very clear that you give up all rights to sue the company for any reason if you accept the package (with state addendums at the bottom).

What RK email was sent? I got the VRP email. This is the second time.

I got the email and the package that explains the whole voluntary retirement program. I just turned 55 in June with 16 years of service. I always said I would take it if it came up but now I’m on the fence we have until August 29 to make the decision.

Is the VRP only for 55 and above? What if I am tenured but not 55, can I opt for VRP?

Save the email. It sure sounds like an age targeting layoff.

To the individual with a question about bonus eligibility upon being laid off.

I was laid off two (or three? All these layoff periods blend together at this point) rounds ago in December of that year. That said, I received full bonus but a pro-rated vesting of my remaining RSUs.

A weeks pay for every year is not good.

I was an L11 laid off in 2022. I received a week’s pay for each year I was employed + cobra. I didn’t have a pension.

I'm hearing that those that qualified were already notified. Maybe next time. :(

@ulo+1tYAcMbW - I'm crossing my fingers for you that you make it to 55. Layoff packages are pretty standard with 2 weeks for every year with a 52 week cap. This includes pay and medical.

I've never heard about bonuses though. Does anyone know about bonuses for VRP or layoffs?

What’s does a L10-11 severance package look like compared to this? I have a lot of tenure, but I’m not 55. Still about 4 years away. I am worried about the future of my job.

@iaf+1tYAcMbW - Did you receive the email? Or you know from past VRPs?

@qkl+1tYAcMbW - From past colleagues, I believe the unemployment benefits start when the severance ends.

I assume one still qualifies for unemployment benefits if they are laid off and received a severance?

Standard severance program. 2 weeks for every year. Max 52 weeks. Most benefits the same duration as pay.

Anyone receive the offer yet? I got the RK email, but nothing after that.
