Respond to Schwab's RTO: Take control with #MTF or MoveToFidelity!

Consider promoting a movement to transfer funds to Fidelity in response to the RTO at Schwab—let's call it MTF, or Move to Fidelity. Encourage family and friends to join this campaign for a collective impact.

Stress inducing, cutthroat atmosphere, where a great bonus can be 50-100% of pay. People complain about the 73% here, but try going from a 120% payout + another 25% in share payouts to an 80% bonus payout.

It’s 73% of the pool target, not 73% of your individual salary. Other firms do have 73% bonus against compensation. We aren’t them. You’d expect a Schwabie to know that…

It's laughable to me this occurring, even more so when people use the argument of CS being against older workers.... Ask anyone who put in time at Fido and left within the past 5 years. First they offered a generous 'voluntary' buyout for long tenured employees to retire, but there was a stigma attached to those that didn't take it.

Fido also had an over the top 'campaign' promoting 'vitality' which was another way of saying 'you've been in your role too long, we need to get younger workers to replace you '.

If you were getting 'older', and didn't fit into departments 5 year succession plan, they worked at figuring how to move you along.

Only former employees can do this. Active employees are not allowed to have brokerage accounts with Fidelity; compliance thing.

You clowns must not remember that pre COVID there was no wfh at this company. And, for most professions people aren’t able to wfh at all. Nurses, doctors, teachers etc. There is no wfh for people with real skills.

Quite a few people were WFH pre-Covid. We learned telecommute was better for many, just as we found SSD was superior to floppy disks or CD ROM.

And you’re really comparing a programmer with coworkers across multiple states to a gynecologist? That’s funny. Not clown funny. But funny.

Why don’t you consider a movement to get a fully remote job or quit…that way you can be remote every day like those of us who are laid off are. I’ll give you the number for unemployment so you can get in line with the rest of us.
