Sell the c-ap you have left to jobbers.
No need to pay liquidator, no need to pay associates.

"In fact don’t be surprised for them to seek federal assistance money for staying open. "

Yes...because the US economy hinges on whether Kmart stores are open or not...please get your head out of your butt.

It’s time for Kmart to rise to the top like whipped cream on a sundae with a smart sense cherry on top. Fill all the customers needs for bleach and toilet paper just like SS Kresge used to. (JK I haven’t seen our Kmart cheerleader in a while)

Jokes aside Eddie will not pull the plug here. Not only that he will likely keep stores open unless forced to close by local mandates, he will keep them open the entire time if at all possible. Then on Transformco’s new splash page you will see “Transformco is working all it’s resources to mitigate the problems caused in our member’s lives by Coronavirus by shipping all necessities to local Sears and Kmarts i. the hardest hit regions”. Then Eddie can try and look like the good guy. Don’t be surprised if they start a “hometown helping heros” or something for hometowns that are still open.

While smart logic would be to use the panic buying to empty out stores then close them it won’t happen. In fact don’t be surprised for them to seek federal assistance money for staying open.

Malls across America will take a major financial hit because of COVID-19. Sears is already in a financial mess and the lack of merchandise on the shelves adds to their problems. Eddie will have no choice but the shut the remaining stores down for good. It's coming. Wait and see.

Ya I hope so! I'm going through closing withdrawal here! We got a steady diet of closings, in 2019, then just drib-drabs in 2020. While of course, I wish we didnt have this virus, if an unintended consequence is that we can get these stores closed already, that'd be nice.
I mean, we only got like 30-40 stores announced in 2020. That is weak-sauce. Let's bop out another 100 or so, then have another round for the last 100, or whatever left, and put this turkey to bed. Enough already, Ed, shut them down already! Stop teasing us with these weak closing lists, and give us a juicy 100+ number, at least. Step it up, and pick up the pace on these closings already!

@qhu+140GHIgl Yeah all that will do is make Sears and Kmarts look even more barren when all this stuff dies down.

I bet Eddie is thinking the exact opposite actually. He's probably wanting to be the only store left open when the others really start to close down. He could care less about all the poor employees that will be sick during this time. He just figured, eh if they die that's less money I lose an will force the workers to take up more responsibilities. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually extended Sears' hrs to please customers when they can't find open stores. Hey Eddie??? Did you forget.... There's nothing in stock on your store shelves cause you pocketed all the money pig.
