Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

State Farm is not half as bad as some of you are making it out to be

I think you're simply burnt out and ready to move on. So go ahead.

Not half bad? That's not a glowing recommendation.

Any poster and poser that minimizes people comments posts or concerns clearly has mental issues and lives in a easy SF bubble or has a vested interested in demeaning others for their own gain. HR roadmap
Most likely. Bully and degrade calling it metrics and performance management.

Clearly making way too much for what they actually do

Most certainly part of the nepotism and roadmap 3rd party show.

Yeah team

I enjoyed how easy the job was in claims. Routine, slightly interesting, but mostly boring and monotonous with increasingly unreasonable expectations. When it gets as bad in injury as it is in the lower sections like ILR and express then we’ll really see this forum blowup.

I see those in support analyst positions are out today. I know it's nice to not have to worry about claim inventories and being under staffed all the time. They need me to handle claims, how many of you could be let go today and it wouldn't matter to the operation of State Farm? Let's have some grace for the people that matter here, shall we.

I agree. I still enjoy my job at State Farm. I’ve gotten burned out at other places before so I know how that feels, but there are lots of other places to work.

Wow words of wisdom. Does this apply to marriage advice as well? Burn out? People already moving on that’s part of the problem. People want a career, this is a job. People put trolling comments like it’s a cashier at Walmart complaining. Legit concerns exist. Comments like this post just reinforces them. I agree this site is venting and not about layoffs. For some a message that you are not alone is powerful. Move on from this web site if you don’t like the posts. Why were you here in the first place? Anyone who is here is moving on mentally or physically from this company. What’s going to change tomorrow? People moving on that’s the only change here.

State Farm ran its course for me, and I grew weary of poor leadership, so I left for greener pastures with no regrets. But some people, including the guy who creates the same whiny thread five times a week and is obsessed with China and Marxism, prefers to stay. Jobs are plentiful. If you are miserable at State Farm look around. More companies are open to remote work which expands your choices. Take advantage of it.
