1/3 company-wide but they couldn't furlough in India (laws). So that translates to 1/2 of the workforce outside of India.
Sabre Corp furlough are not 3500 in the US only but worldwide
Why is this being called a furlough?

Was the goal to structure the lay-off in a way to protect h1b workers?
Sanjay may not have bachelor degree from college. He may do some diploma course in unknown training institute And then wrote a resume with all kind of technology he heard of or company asked for. As you know Sabre does not verify candidates deeply during interview so he got the job. Now Sanjay thinks he is smart
I was notified today that I will be part of the furlough bloodbath tomorrow. I can confirm the US number is in the 3300-3500 range.

HR email said a little more than a third. 35% of 10k is 3500. It's going to be a bloodbath tomorrow...
Note that with the CARES act, we can get like $1k unemployment per week for the two months of furlough.
