Flying Fran in gives the UKI management “visibility”. As useless as they have been since the current SE mgmt and VP took over in 2019, they have always managed well “upwards”, at the cost of dedicated, loyal employees whose careers they have ruined. They are far more interested in protecting and promoting their own careers than generating business for the company. When was the last time anyone saw the SSED address customers directly or be on an escalated CAP/GFEP call like his predecessor used to? He hides from the main challenges and promotes himself upwards with the achievement of his team members who he treats like disposable assets, with condescending disdain.
That’s why Fran is there. For their own sake. The UKI management chain has never done anything to generate any business. They don’t care.
I see they flew Fran in for that event too.
It would be nice to have half her travel budget so that we could go and visit customers again and have some time useful face to face conversations with them.
