Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Loyalty is dead says AT&T’s CEO. Why bother doing future ME?

Well he said the quiet part out loud

Why should I bother with all this future ME krapola ?

I am sure Alvind feels the same way
Who knows where I’ll be in 5 years ?

They want us to take all this education. For what ? To be possibly RA’d because Alvind, Krabanaugh, Slob Thomas and the rest can show investors they are cutting costs ?

"Why did this post get so many downvotes?" LOL, and you downvoted the question. LOL

I was just genuinely asking to understand, as it wasn't clear to me. Apologies for not being clear.

The Ask Slob Thomas tool will give you recommendations of which color hoodies go with your sneakers

and one more from Krapanaugh "Skill development is a journey, which is why we at IBM continue to invest in growth through focused time to learn. I personally don't have the focused time for this type of unnecessary learning, which is only good enough for the peons whom I manage. But I enjoy the time spent re-balancing employees and watching them leave so that Alvind and I enjoy bigger annual bonuses. Now can I have three Big Mac with fries ?"

The Ask Krabanaugh tool will have just a couple of answers

“Learn to upskill”

“Must reduce headcount”

@dx one hopes this tool "Ask Alvin" will show up soon on w3 in the next week or two. It's user interface is an ugly smirking mug just like Alvind's - but it's a face only Alvind's pet baboon could love.

When it does not have an answer to a question asked or when it gives a wrong answer, the "Ask Alvin" tool cuts five million dollars from the CEO's 2026 bonus for each incorrect attempt. It is entirely possible that Alvind will have to pay all his bonus back to IBM (or more) if the tool fails too many times. Based on the latest version of IBM AI, the tool is heavily biased against Alvind's incorrect answers of course.

"You need to wake up to reality. The market wants more AI, not more Indians"

You need to wake up to the reality of what's HAPPENING. Companies are moving jobs to India and then TELLING the market they replaced them with AI. It's all LIES. Builder.ai. Amazon's Just Walk Out retail stores. Etc.

AI = Actually Indians.

The gig is almost up, people are figuring out it's mostly a hoax.

@h1 Maybe you can ask Miz Kitty to confirm that with AK and RT and post the results at this site.

@h2 Oh, Dearie me ! Why bother studying for the worthless cr-p certifications just because Krapanaugh says so ? As a much better alternative, you can buy fake IBM certifications for AI and Quantum on the roadside outside the IBM office in Bengaluru for a few rupees, and post them around your cube in the office. They will make you seem smart and intelligent, even if you aren't able to tell the difference between an LED and an incandescent light bulb. Is a Qbit a new type of biscuit ? But the fake certifications make your clueless Indian manager wonder why the heck he didn't promote you years ago.

You should take advantage of all the terrific certifications IBM offers. Employers love IBMers and our high tech knowledge.

AI's gonna replace everybody. Only thing AI can't replace is a good co-k su-ka. So maybe RT'll stay.

When does the new tool called Ask Alvin’s debut ?

You ask it a question and it gives a snarky arrogant reply

@a9

You need to wake up to reality. The market wants more AI, not more Indians even if the Indians are cheaper, hungrier and cost pennies on the dollar. Call Centers and manual tasks are no no longer the "in thing", but automation is. Indians are expendable just like everyone else whose jobs they have been taking through RAs. Alvind and the Pipmunks are replaceable too, simply because they are irrelevant in today's business environment. AI will likely be the ultimate winner of the game, not Alvind nor his Pipmunks.

Investors don't seem to believe the Krap anymore, stock doesn't want to obey AK's $300+ dream.
