It's gotten pretty quiet regarding layoffs, especially if they are happening in August...

That worked in the old days when people had good character.
I recall in the 80s typing the list of names who would be laid off the following week. Many were my friends and co-workers. Yes, I had to sign a NDA, but not being able to give them a word of warning was harder - I couldn't even look at them in the eye. Then, just before I was SRD'd in 2019 began, I noticed many wouldn't look me in the eye either. I later found out, they had advance knowledge of who was on the SRD lists. So if you notice the people you chum around with unexpectedly stop looking you in the eye.....it may be time to clear out your desk. Good luck next week!
In person management meetings are scheduled next week. I got this on good authority from a friend that is an LL. LL5+s only. Doesn't sound good. Last August after similar meetings, the following Monday 3000 people were let go.
Looks like August 28th could be the date.
“ We just got told they are hiring 100+ people for the field team” Can confirm, saw the ads myself on LinkedIn.
However, that in no way means they aren’t going to layoff others….far from it.
@pmx - in the US?
Bracket group is safe.
Well considering the layoffs around the 4th were a surprise and pretty quiet beforehand, I am not surprised. They don't want the press alerted

There have been stealth cuts in IT this month.
Oh no, we’re doomed!
People who know when its happening probably have to sign NDA's.
Others are too busy interviewing outside/ quiet quitting to care
