Rather humorous.
Version 1: 9/80s and other alternate work schedules were offered years ago to provide employees with more flexibility and work/life balance. Started with strict requirements, ie, your day off could not be swapped and you still needed to work and/or be available when required.
Version 2: Then the rules were relaxed and people started swapping their days and weren’t really expected to work on their off days. And if you were one of the smart ones, you’d “swap” so often that no one could keep track of whether you were scheduled to be off or not LOL.
Version 3: And then people started to not even work, or worked less than 8 hours on their scheduled 9/80 work day.
Version 4: And now all the cry babies want even MORE flexibility and work/life balance by working from home at whatever hour of the day or for however many hours they feel like want.
Sad state of affairs. Corporate leaders are being “bullied”/made to feel that everyone will jump ship if WFH is taken away. Truth is we are all replaceable. Not one of us have so much talent that someone else won’t have as much or more of!
