Hearing a restructure. They are centralizing admin tasks again. Getting data about what each one does. Cuts coming.

pepsi sucks... they take your blood and then kick you out on your a-s. Good luck to all.
These payroll admins need to go. Holding up commerce!!!!!!!
There aren't many left and our Employees need to get paid. chilled. You're safe!
the question is when will they announce the next layoff?
everything is hush hush. I have asked HR directly what is the future of my position (payroll admin) I keep asking when will they announce my package that they told me I would get in 2020. I get complete silence. As I now train managers on payroll processes the least they could do is be more transparent with the future of my job, I have been here almost 18 years
That's what they do when the bodies hidden in the basement from the last reorg begin to stink too badly. Don't fix it, shuffle it.
@91my+1heajmk6. The moved customer maintenance and arc tree to gbs so they will eliminate jobs. I guess based on what you’re saying, payroll goes next. managers will be doing everything with no support. Cashiering is all that will be left
Admins are literally slaves to their managers - overworked, overwhelmed and chasitised for everything. They do more personal work for their managers than actual work and the work they DO used to be handled by finance, HR, managers, directors, etc. No good raises in years. Luck if you get a "smile". You slave for the wealthy while they use you
@a9naw+1heAJMk6. Ahhhhh typical Pepsi hiring positions that are soon eliminated. Typical Pepsi, decisions of layoffs not communicated to managers. They had me hire an admin right before they let 3 go….they just happened to be in other buildings….that is why.
I was offered the relocation package in 2020….and fortunately took it. A few employees who also took the package were subsequently brought back as temporary contractors…. For that reason I think that the cuts were too deep and I don’t think you will see a restructuring of that magnitude in the near future. IMO, If you are retirement age and are ready to go, but are waiting for a package: to you I would say ‘get out now and enjoy your remaining years’. The last 18 months have flown by…..
Why do they continue to post for new admin roles if they want all admins to go to GBS?
@@9ulv+1heAJMk6 payroll processing is now done in India/Mexico. I have been training them on payroll, now training managers to fill out forms on payroll. Duplicative work for sure. I was told 2 years ago I would get 6 months notice. I am waiting for a package at this point. What positions have you heard they are moving and when?
@pcw+1heAJMk6 are you a location KA? Are they moving the location payroll there or payroll processing there?
I know they are moving at least 2 administrative roles over there in the next few months which will cause layoffs for admins. They will eventually move all admin work over there one job at a time. Their goal is to eliminate all location admins.
Please, administrators hold the place together
I hope it is me this time and I get that package they told me about back in 2020. 2 years training India/Mexico ( not that they are doing a good job) now training managers to do job.
HR if you are reading this, all payroll admins say Pick me!!!
For the past 10 years Pepsi HR comes on here at the same time every year and posts the same restructure comments on a hook for everyone to bite. There is a sick sense of satisfaction at that company about watching people suffer and worry before they take away their jobs.
