The Philly Fed just flagged another 653,000 fake jobs. On top of the 818,000 BLS revised away last year. ~1.5 million fake jobs.
Yes, it’s that bad.

This covers the December numbers as well as adjustments as late as October and November. The end of the year results are:
Nonfarm payrolls increased by 256,000 jobs last month...
The economy created 2.23 million jobs in the final year of President Joe Biden's term, equating to an average of 186,000 jobs per month.
10 days and still no citations. It seems like another failed disinformation campaign.
I've searched for this a number of times since this was posted and all that's coming back are three posts on x.com. Can someone point to an official site with this and the actual corrected jobs numbers?
You can’t just look at the top line jobs numbers. You need to dig into the numbers by sector.
For the last several months there have been 200-300k new jobs per month, but if you dig into the details almost ALL of those new jobs were in healthcare and hospitality while some months there were actually losses in IT
As with so many things the details matter
How bad is the economy?
H1Bs will be yanked.
H-1B visas are pushed by billionaires like Musk and Ramaswamy because the exploitation of these workers who are paid below median wages drives down labor costs for US Citizens.
The Oligarchs can have their way with them becasue H-1B visa holders are much less likely to report workplace harm and mistreatment due to fears of deportation.
WIN-WIN!
@pce+1wevKh5h, your irony was obviously lost upon the folks down-voting your comment. :)
