Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

So which is it?

Are more layoffs coming after the 4th, or does it all have to be done before? I’m not exactly in love with my job here, but like most of us, I really need it right now. It’d be nice to spend a day or two with family without dreading an axe the moment we’re back.

@p6 So the larger top 5 are better - such as LM or RTX? They all seem to have the micro-focus you mentioned and go through many rounds of layoffs similar to L3H.

The company will release 3rd quarter results on July 25. If it's not in line with the promises made by the Kube, then more RIFs are guaranteed.

I see Many ex-employees complaining about this company is bad, horrible place to work BLA bla... You don't understand that every company has there up and downs. Try to understand the pattern of the economic world or You will continue to leave pay check to pay check and will dye blaming, the president, companies. Etc. For being poor. By the way my wife works here, she makes good money, not leaving there any time soon or until company fires her. And not willing to work any more because we invested well and I ran my own business. We can retired now if we want to at age of 43s. For most of you, blame to yourself for not managing your money correctly. It's not the president, not any company or the recession's fault.

@fy 100% correct. If you're miserable at L3HARRIS, it's because you did it to yourself by staying. The company has been shyt for a long time and you've had plenty of chances to leave. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and do something about it.

Way to make great points and then fall back into the trap of using a d-mb buzz word like TDS. Pot. Kettle.

@nz Layoffs at L3Harris have nothing to do with Trump. The company began its' downward spiral as far back as Obama when companies like ITT and United Technologies began divesting themselves of their defense businesses. (ITT spun off Exelis which was purchased by Harris who merged with L3. United Technologies sold Sikorski Helicopters to Lockheed Martin and Raytheon would eventually buy U.T. to become RTX.
Activist investors like rogue fund managers bought the stock and infiltrated the board of directors. The focus shifted to short term gains for the investors while shoving aside the customers and the employees.
If there was no waste to be eliminated, L3Harris would have no worries. But bloated, top-heavy companies like L3 have no place in this new environment.
Stop getting your news in information from social media. It only makes you one of millions of useful i d i o t s the left needs to perpetuate their TDS.

As long as the numbers are not met, the layoff will continue... So far the numbers have not met for Q2, so most likely there will be more layoffs in Q3 and Q4.

L3harris is a horrible place to work, if you're not working on getting out of there, you deserve what ever they do to you.

So get your head out from under the axe and move on. Sound's like you're waiting for the axe so you have something to cry about.
