T doesn’t want us around and most of us don’t want to be with this sinking ship…make an offer and let’s see what happens. Let the exec’s steer this ship into the inevitable ice burg.

The offer went out. The offer was to move to Dallas. take it or leave it.
You don't want to leave. You just like complaining.
Because they don’t want to accelerate borrowing. We are like a family that can only make the minimum payment on the credit card but they’re still using it. Swapping out employees for contractors is like selling a sh---y car and buying an even shittier car.
If you're management they can pink slip you any time they want and just pay severance.
They won't offer union employees because they can't afford to lose too many people at once. "Afford" in the sense of knowledge/experience and the payouts would be huge.
Get a clue. They can cut you loose at any time. There’s no upside for them to give you an offer.
I have seen roughly 5 offers in the last 5 years. They do exist. I don't think there will be any this year because they want people to quit and think they will end up paying less in severance than they would with an offer for the whole company.
This is not the AT&T culture anymore, it's SBC and they don't do VTP or SIPP or whatever you want to refer to it as! They're not generous or compassionate like ATT once was when it comes to downsizing, so Fagetaboutit!!!
Fantasyland.
Why would they do that? To have happy former employees?
Check T’s financials. The company can’t afford this.
Why an offer when they can get it done for free..... Offers are long gone!
Why would they give us an offer when they can just lay us off?
